Two people died, and 29 were injured, in a fire that broke out in an apartment building in Dobong District, northern Seoul, on Christmas morning.
According to the Sejong police, the victims, all in their 70s, were discovered unconscious by another customer who entered the public bathhouse at 5:37 a.m. The women were transported to the hospital.
Buildings and farming facilities were damaged, roads were closed and flights were canceled as heavy snow pounded the country’s southern regions over Christmas weekend.
